What is Happening in the the Library?

Social Hour

Library is open at recess

Students are able to come into the Library and play games and socialize. Having students come in helps to have a more controlled, positive, environment. Students are encouraged to encourage one another and work in groups.

Mission:

The mission of the Arellanes Elementary School Library is to inspire lifelong learning while embracing and strengthening our diverse community through read alouds and access to information, knowledge, and ideas.
 

Goals/Objectives:

  1. Increase student awareness and engagement of library programs, services, and resources.

  2. Provide a safe and comfortable setting.

  3. Promote computer literacy to bridge the digital divide and enhance technology-related knowledge.
  4. Inspire innovators and creativity for all ages.
