What We Do
Arellanes Elementary School provides a warm, stimulating environment where students are actively involved in learning academics and positive values. Students receive a standards-based, challenging curriculum by a dedicated professional staff tailored to the individual needs of the students. Ongoing evaluation of student progress and achievement helps us refine the instructional program so students can achieve academic proficiency. Arellanes Elementary School is located in the southwestern region of Santa Maria and serves students in grades transitional kindergarten through six. At the beginning of the 2018-19 school year, 290 students are enrolled, including 10.5% in special education, 59.5% qualifying for English Language Learner support, and 87.4% qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch.
